learning pilates takes time and should be considered a journey through varying levels of self-discovery. almost immediately however, you will feel the effects of better breathing and a new sense of body awareness.
the most effective way to develop a solid pilates foundation is to begin with 2-3 private sessions per week. once you understand the principles and discover how to access the “power house” of your body, you may be ready for the independence and challenge experienced in duets or circuit training.
in each session focus your mind on moving from your center, increasing concentration and breath capacity and developing precision of movement, to ultimately achieve the results you desire
every body and mind are different and everyone progresses at his/her own individual pace. be patient, focus and enjoy the journey. your instructor will ensure that you progress with each session.
